About Radboud Scholarship Programme
The Radboud Scholarship Programme aims to provide a selected number of talented prospective non-EEA students with the opportunity to receive a scholarship to pursue an English-taught Master’s degree programme at Radboud University. This program is open to students from various fields of study, with the exception of Erasmus Mundus Master’s programmes and joint-degree Master’s programmes.
Scholarship Value and Duration
If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, you will receive a partial scholarship that will significantly reduce your tuition fee. For example, in the academic year 2024/2025, the tuition fee for grant holders will be reduced to €2,530, instead of the regular fee of €17,000. Additionally, the scholarship covers other costs such as visa, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands. It’s important to note that to be eligible for the scholarship in the second year of a two-year Master’s programme, you must have successfully passed all courses in the first year.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Radboud Scholarship Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a non-EU/EEA passport.
- Not be eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee for any other reasons.
- Hold or will obtain a Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands, with no previous degrees obtained in the Netherlands and no previous education received in the country.
- Have been fully admitted to an English-taught Master’s degree programme at Radboud University, starting on 1 September 2024, as stated in the formal letter of admission.
- Be able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
- Be enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master’s degree programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.
Application Process
Applying for the Radboud Scholarship Programme is a straightforward process. When submitting your application for admission to a Master’s programme in the OSIRIS Application system, indicate your interest in applying for the Radboud Scholarship. Along with your application, you will need to upload three additional documents: two reference letters and a curriculum vitae. It is crucial to complete your application before the deadline, which is 31 January 2024, 23:59 CEST.
Number of Scholarships Available
For the academic year 2024/2025, a maximum of 28 Radboud Scholarships are available. These scholarships are distributed across different faculties at Radboud University as follows:
- Faculty of Arts: 2 scholarships
- Faculty of Law: 5 scholarships
- Nijmegen School of Management: 4 scholarships
- Faculty of Philosophy, Theology, and Religious Studies: 2 scholarships
- Faculty of Science: 11 scholarships
- Faculty of Social Sciences: 4 scholarships
